If you're part of a Keenious Institutional account, be aware that your organization oversees the data processed for research suggestions. In this scenario, Keenious acts as a processor on behalf of your organization.

  • Engage with us in other related ways ― including any sales, marketing, or events

Caching

We utilize caching in order to facilitate cross language recommendations and better user experience. This process involves storing a duplicate analysis of your document, without retaining the text itself. All cached files are temporary and are never shared with third parties. Cached analyses are set to expire every hour to ensure data security and privacy.

3. How do we use your information?

In Short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.

We use personal information collected via our Website for a variety of business purposes described below. Keenious AS has not disclosed or sold any personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding 12 months. Keenious AS will not sell personal information in the future belonging to website visitors, users and other consumers.

6. How long do we keep your information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When there is no longer a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it. If deletion or anonymization is not feasible, for instance, when your information is in backup archives, we adhere to GDPR guidelines by removing all inactive data after a period of 90 days.

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Website, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Website. Right to request deletion of the data - Request to delete

You can ask for the deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) the exercise by another consumer of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities.

We may also use other verification methods as the circumstances dictate.

Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

  • Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases.

However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

Cookies and similar technologies

Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Website.

Opting out of email marketing

10. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
